Are you looking for a new cooling system for your home? Do you want to save money on your energy costs? Would you like to improve your indoor air quality? If you answered yes to these three questions, then a ductless mini split system may be right for you.
Lewis Air Services has provided quality HVAC solutions to residents throughout Orange County since 1989. Over the past three decades, we have strived to stay up-to-date with all the latest in HVAC technology. Several years ago, ductless ACs began to grow in popularity among homeowners in So Cal. These systems are a powerful and efficient way to keep every room of your home at just the right temperature. Our Rancho Santa Margarita ductless mini split experts are here to help you find and install the right system for your property.
The term “ductless” comes from the fact that these AC units do not require ductwork.
This fact results in several spectacular implications, including:
When you invest in a new air conditioning system, you want to purchase a unit that will last for many years to come. At Lewis Air Services, we understand that system longevity is one of the top priorities of our customers. Which is why we often suggest a ductless mini split system – no air conditioner last longer! While traditional AC systems typically last from 12 to 15 years, ductless ACs usually last about 20 years when adequately maintained. If you want your new air conditioner to last as long as possible, ductless is the way to go.
A mini split does not stay on at all times. They are not designed to run 24 hours a day. However, they are designed to run for longer periods of time than traditional HVAC systems. It’s normal for people who are used to a central AC or furnace system that turns off every couple hours to think their new mini split system is running nonstop.
Mini splits are designed to be incredibly energy efficient. They run at first with their air handler to correct the indoor air to the set temperature. After that the unit runs into a low power mode to maintain the temperature, which is different than the traditional switching on and off of other HVAC systems. Low power mode allows the mini split unit to take less wear and tear from use. Which means your unit can last longer than traditional units.
As you may have assumed, not all ductless mini splits are created equal. There are cheaper options available that are made from low-quality materials. These models usually turn out to cost more money in the long run by requiring more repairs and may need to be replaced sooner than a more expensive system. Our highly trained technicians at Lewis Air Services are here to guide you in the selection process, so you can be confident you have a high-quality system that will perform efficiently and effectively for many years to come. Once you have decided on the perfect model for your needs and budget, we’ll get it installed correctly and have you cool and comfortable in no time.
Our goal at Lewis Air is to take all the steps required to properly service and maintain your HVAC units so that you can remain comfortable all year round!
